ALEX, Alabama Learning Exchange, offers many different resources that can advance the way the a teacher works in their classroom. there are different fields of study in which a teacher can go to and get different questions for a topic to discuss in the classroom. Lesson plans can be found and made on this website as well. There are also web links to find annoted education web sites as well. Not only that there is unlimited teaching and learning tools, as well as best practices to use for your classroom. Many schools have a limited amount of courses offered. This a lot of times can be troublesome for AP students. This website offers ACCESS, which is a way for these students to take courses on-line which will further there education farther than what may be offered at their school.
It was surprising to me that a website such as this is offered. It has tons of information that will help me as a teacher. The fields of study will help me alone especially if I am stuck on what kind of questions to ask on a certain subject. Hopefully this website can make me more creative in the ways that I will teach and help keep my kids interested in the subject at hand.

Introduction to me!
Hi everyone..I am Kristina and I am 21 years old. I have lived in Mobile for the majority of my life. This is my fifth year at the University of South Alabama, and I am studying to be a high school history teacher. The six year plan is a long hard road just so you know. My advice is don't change your major after two years of school.
It was a big fight for my parents to get me to go to South. All I wanted to do was high-tail it out of here after I graduated high school. However, I am surprised how happy I have been here. I have had a great time, and the best part is I got to stay here and keep all of my friends.
I love to hang out with my friends. I actually live with my best friend Chris and his mom. However, we are in the process of finding a place of our own. He is convinced she is satan so he says we must get out before she devours our souls.....blah blah..she is an absolute wonderful woman (as is my mom!). He is my wingman. We are constantly going out and he takes care of me when I have had one too many and vica versa.
I work all of the time if possible. I live a certain lifestyle and I do not wish to give it up. Because I work so hard I was able to by a brand new car last year. I have a scion tc (the sleek sexy one, not the box ;). However, I would just like to add that I have had car trouble with every car I have ever had. So naturally when I got my beautiful new one, I felt relieved. No more car trouble right?? Noo Noo Noo..that wouldn't be right for me. I had the car for 7 months and 3(yeah I said 3) deer hit me and my car was almost totaled. I got it fixed and lemme tell you what happened when I walked outside yesterday to go get school books. Someone shattered my back window. So if you have any leads....I'm a mad woman on the loose (or so the neighbors think after all my cussing). I'm not joking... Its cool. My best friend Chris bought a new Toyota Tacoma and guess what I am driving for the week while he drives his old car!! I always told him I would end up driving it eventually. Just goes show that best friends are awesome!
